Myra Summers is President of Focus Forward. She is an independent qualitative marketing research consultant with a broad-based marketing background that includes over 27 years of marketing, marketing research, and advertising experience with Fortune 500 companies. guidance and counseling make Myra a natural at identifying key consumer insights. She frequently uses unique and involving projective and metaphorical techniques to help uncover - and help respondents communicate - experiences, feelings, drivers, and needs gaps.
Myra has conducted nearly 4000 focus groups and hundreds of one-on-one interviews since becoming an independent qualitative consultant in 1991. She received a BA in sociology from High Point University, completed graduate coursework in guidance and counseling at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and received an MBA with a marketing focus from Wake Forest University.
Myra is a member of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA) wherein she is Co-Chair of the Pharma/Healthcare Special Interest Group. She is also a member of the American Marketing Association, and the Pharmaceutical Marketing Research Group. She has been published in Quirk’s Marketing Research Review, QRCA VIEWS Magazine, and AMA Marketing Research Magazine.
